Move over Gold, Fixed Deposits and Stocks, air today has become the biggest asset for the 1.3 billion citizens of India with reducing green cover in the country. The World Health Organisation (WHO) prescribes 9 square metres of green space per capita in urban areas. In India, the Urban Regional Development Plans Formulation and Implementation (URDPFI) guidelines, 2014 recommend 10-12 square metre of open space per capita. However, various estimates put the green cover per capita in top Indian cities in the range of 0.8-1.5 square metre, in a glaring gap.

Mumbai, the financial capital of India, has a green cover of 1.5 square metre per capita, much lower than prescribed by national and global organisations. Coupled with increasing pollution and shrinking spaces, citizens are increasingly looking to live in areas with high green cover. Identifying this need of lakhs of homebuyers, Piramal Realty, one of India’s leading developers, had launched Piramal Revanta near the ~25,000 acre Sanjay Gandhi National Park in 2017. Home to lakhs of trees and thousands of plant species, the ecological park provides residents with pure oxygen and also acts as a filter to the growing air pollution in the city. Situated next to one of the largest natural oxygen generators in Maharashtra, Piramal Revanta is spread across 12 acres with 1-4 BHKs in 4 towers and has been attracting hundreds of interested homebuyers.

The project with 50% open spaces is being touted as a world-class residential project in Mulund with over 35 state-of-the-art amenities including jogging tracks, free-play lawn for cricket, football, a yoga garden, dog park along with a clubhouse with array of amenities. This combination of large green spaces, high-end amenities next to a large ecological park is becoming homebuyers’ favourite.

Tagged as the 'Prince of Suburbs’, Mulund is one of the well-planned residential destinations of Mumbai with close proximity to Navi Mumbai and Thane. It has a well-established physical and social infrastructure with easy connectivity to various parts of Mumbai through Eastern Express Highway. Also, the construction of the proposed metro rail will further enhance connectivity to other parts of the city, making Mulund the preferred region for investments in luxury residential apartments.

Real estate players are now conscious efforts to cater to the wellness needs of their consumers. Being so close to one of the lungs of Mumbai, Piramal Revanta promises unparalleled quality of air sitting on the edge of ~25,000 acres of SGNP offering views of the sprawling forest. Living closer to nature has been proven to have a calming effect both on mental as well as physical wellbeing.
